Combina sus talentos de comediante con el de cantante, compositor y productor musical. JIMMY naci\u00f3 en Cali, Colombia y desde muy temprana edad dej\u00f3 ver su inclinaci\u00f3n musical, formando bandas de rock, de pop, y trios de boleros. A los catorce a\u00f1os de edad, fund\u00f3 la banda “Mamut”, realizando conciertos en colegios y teatros. Posteriormente a los dieciseis a\u00f1os, crea la banda “Kronos”, con David Corkidi e Isi Toledo, haciendo conciertos en coliseos, tabernas y teatros del pais.<\/p>\n

Ingresa al Conservatorio de Cali donde estudia teoria, vocalizacion y composicion, enfatizando a\u00fan m\u00e1s su vocacion por la m\u00fasica. En 1986, Jimmy viaja a\u00a0 Miami y es ahi donde se encuentra con Gustavo Arenas,(Grammy Awarded Producer). Con \u00e9l comienza a trabajar en los “demos” de sus canciones. En 1989 conoce a Estefano, nace una gran amistad y como buen alumno, aprende del Maestro.<\/p>\n

En el ano 1992, JIMMY, representa a Miami en el “Festival OTI”, obteniendo el segundo lugar con su cancion, “Vamos a Cambiar”. En 1994 forma parte, como corista, del duo “Donato y Est\u00e9fano”. Ese mismo a\u00f1o viaja a Colombia a integrarse a la banda de Marcelo Cezan, su amigo de infancia. Estando en Colombia, la exitosa agrupacion “Luna Verde”\u00a0 graba cinco de sus canciones en dos de sus producciones. Pilar Duque, reconocida cantante colombiana, famosa por su interpretacion de rancheras, graba tres de sus temas en el album titulado “Gracias a Ti”. Yolanda Rayo interprete del tema principal de la telenovela “Betty La Fea”, graba su cancion\u00a0 “Vivir Sin Ti”.<\/p>\n

En 1997 ccordina la produccion del \u00e1lbum,”Entre la Linea del Bien y la Linea del Mal” de “Donato y Est\u00e9fano”. Viajan a Cuernavaca a realizar el video del tema principal con el conocido director argentino Gustavo Garz\u00f3n y tambi\u00e9n es designado por Sony Music como “Tour Manager” del renombrado Duo, en la gira a\u00a0 Espana, M\u00e9xico, Colombia, Argentina, y Chile.<\/p>\n

En 2004 trabaja con Eduardo Paz, conocido autor argentino, primer manager de Shakira y descubridor de Marcelo Cez\u00e1n, Angie Cepeda, Lorna Paz, Carolina Sabino entre otros, y componen doce temas para el album de Marcelo Cezan. Ese mismo a\u00f1o se desempena como A & R y Coordinador de Produccion para EPG, la empresa de Est\u00e9fano, seleccionando artistas y compositores con talento para nuevas producciones.<\/p>\n

En el 2005 compone con Est\u00e9fano, la cancion “Vuelve Morenita”, para su \u00e1lbum “Codigo Personal A Media Vida” de gran \u00e9xito en Espana y Suramerica.<\/p>\n

En el 2007 Jennifer Lopez graba su tema\u00a0 “Te Voy a Querer”, para el \u00e1lbum “Como Ama Una Mujer”, producido por Est\u00e9fano.\u00a0 A su vez Jimmy inicia la Produccion de Mara, una cantautora colombiana, con la que continua trabajando en b\u00fasqueda de un sonido fresco y \u00fanico.<\/p>\n

En el 2008 trabaja al lado de Est\u00e9fano en la selecci\u00f3n de temas para el nuevo \u00e1lbum de Paulina Rubio.<\/p>\n

Actualmente, JIMMY produce a dos talentosas actrices y cantantes mexicanas, Victoria Del Rosal y Paloma Marquez. Igualmente, JIMMY a escrito en para otros artistas y productores entre los que se encuentran, Maria Isabel Saavedra, Fabian Alicastro, Pilar Quiroga, Jimmy Rey, Leandro Fernandez, Jorge Gomez, Gustavo Arenas, Jaime Valencia, A. J. Milo, Marcelo Cez\u00e1n, Eduardo P\u00e1z y Alvaro Ruiz.<\/p>\n
